As a matter of necessity , we must mention that the book comparison above is from our vantage point alone and is not a position held be all. We believe we have valid, objective concerns about the quality of the other study tools. Outsiders may think it is merely a subjective opinion, favoring our own works. Sure, human tendency is to think well of one’s own stuff. The Bible reveals this typical mindset. Proverbs 16:2, “All the ways of man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit.” So, you don’t have to take our word for it, judge yourself. And truly, our book has many more things included that others don’t, so it cannot be a straight comparison anyway. But, we purchased their books and have every right to give our perspective. It is relevant because we have a crossover of some similar topics. It is not helpful to readers like you if we remain silent. And fellow Bible teachers should give honest feedback. Think about it, if there was already a book that contained all quality information, we would not have needed to write another. Bible materials must be scrutinized at a high level, for they can truly help or hurt people. Understanding the Bible accurately means everything. The standard is high. And as such we are all subjected to God ultimately, responsible for what we publish.
Most publishers are already “convinced” one way or another, about their set list of beliefs, no matter how compelling alternative points of view may be to the contrary. And all they write supports their beliefs. This is concerning. They hire and work with only those others who likewise fully embrace the thinking of their own echo chamber. Better is when something places the evidence on the table for all to see and let the readers decide. That’s the approach of T4. Back in the day, most people believed the Earth was flat. Yet it wasn’t flat, never was, and is not flat now. The Earth is a sphere! But it took forever for the majority of people to wise up to this reality. The worst, most stubborn individuals who refuse to acknowledge new thinking are those who are “educated” on a subject. And those who have money riding on their expertise not being questioned. They are the last to admit error and to make changes accordingly. Today there is a movement of amazing humility, where many millions of people are opening their eyes to the truths of the Bible like never before, not merely assuming that traditional doctrines are true. We want to believe what Jesus taught right? And the other amazing believers in the Bible right? We want to NOT believe the perverted religious nonsense that has been twisted over the centuries since the Bible was finished. And if you don’t know the difference between the two, and confidently, that is further reason you need to at least see what all the hype is about!
The world is full of religious misinformation, like poison wrapped in chocolate. As readers, we cannot be naive. It is hopeless to make something good, no matter what you do on the outside, if it is fundamentally flawed internally. If only we could know to stay away from the junk ,and as a consumer of products, choose something else! But sometimes we just don’t know until after we check it out. Just know this, there are many study tools in the world, some excellent, but some misleading even though packaged beautifully. And Satan, heavily involved in religion, will fight to keep the lies hidden. So, I urge all Bible students not to blindly trust any source, no matter how popular it is. Even great men and women of God make mistakes , and quality is sprinkled inside some of these publications, but there are giant holes of misinformation too. If there is genuine value, great, but take it point by point. Measure quality directly only by comparing any point to Scripture. That is the only perfect test. 2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God...”
Some will love our book. Others from the peanut gallery will complain. That’s how it works. But I beg you, stop buying only the mass produced mainstream works approved by the big corporations, by the popular religious filtering machines in the world. Try something new and different! Read an alternative! As mentioned above, there are so many reasons to read our book! It is bigger, more pages with more material, higher quality images and text, more accurate knowledge, better present day application, it will take you on a personal journey, has much better overall value and printed in the USA. But even if you choose not to read our book, I suggest this one recommendation, be cautious whenever you agree with the majority of people on any point, as that position is likely based on half-truths or outright lies. And that is true even within Christian circles on the doctrines some suggest are fundamental, when in truth those very same assumed beliefs are often false. No matter what tools help you study the Bible better, may you grow in an accurate knowledge of the Word of God for yourself and your family. The Bible is the ultimate source. God bless you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
